I am a Nebraska lawyer, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. After completing an undergraduate degree in sociology and criminal justice, I pursued a career in law to prepare myself to serve my community. I moved to Nebraska in 1997 to attend Creighton University School of Law.
I have made Nebraska my home and have represented Clients throughout the state. I have represented clients in County Courts, District Courts, the Nebraska Court of Appeals and the Nebraska Supreme Court.
I specialize in bringing the law to your corner. I am dedicated to understanding what results you want, and helping you understand what actions I can take on your behalf. I will work with you to make sure that you understand the choices you have and feel empowered to make them.
My methods are straightforward, I approach problems with the big picture in mind. I find the right way to tell each story. I treat Clients with the dignity they deserve.
I believe that the best lawyers treat their clients like family and friends. That means taking the time to really listen, figure out what your true needs are and find the best way to help you achieve your goals. Just as I set up a Irrevocable Living Trust for my parents, and set up Estate Plans for my sisters, I work with each client the same way as I did with them. I don’t throw around a lot of legal jargon to make myself sound smart. My job is to create a plan for moving forward and explain it to you in a way that makes sense. I always make sure you understand your choices and the likely outcome of the decisions you make.
Telling a client’s story requires listening. Lots of it. Often, my clients come to me while on a difficult road in life. It is my job to travel that road with them until I understand their journey. And then I get to work, helping them reach the destination they deserve.
I am eager to hear about the legal issues that brought you to my website. I am here to help you every step of the way, beginning with an open, frank discussion of what you hope to accomplish.
“Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the wrong…. Because sometime in life you will have been all of these.”
